The Latin Mass
The Traditional Latin Mass is offered by the pastor, Fr. Ananias, O.S.B., on Sundays at 1pm, in accordance with the 1962 Roman Missal, under the auspices of the motu proprio Summorum Pontificum. It is offered with the full recognition and support of Bishop Joseph Adamec of the Altoona-Johnstown Diocese, and Archabbot Douglas Nowicki, O.S.B., of St. Vincent Archabbey.
The Latin Mass at Queen of Peace is usually a Low Mass, with no music apart from an opening and closing hymn. However, a "High Mass" (Missa Cantata) is sung instead on the first Sunday of each month, and occasionally on important feasts. Dates of upcoming High Masses are found on the upcoming dates page.
Photos and news from the Latin Mass may be found at the Latin in Patton blog!
